  • Fantastic Italian food. I felt like I was eating home at some Italian friends in the Italian countryside. The pasta is fresh , perfectly cooked and all the flavors are authentic. The family who run it is so nice and their kids are running around and setting an amazing atmosphere!

  • This was our first time dining at Bono, and I really liked the concept they offer. We didn’t book a table in advance, so it was pure luck that we managed to get one for my family at the last minute. We arrived at the designated time and were warmly welcomed to our table. We opted for the set menu, which included two pasta dishes and one meat dish. First came the appetizer, followed by an Italian meat and cheese board. Everything was devoured quickly! Shortly after, the pasta dishes arrived, one at a time—just like in Italy. The first had a cheese- pesto-style sauce, which was very well-balanced. I often find pesto a bit overpowering, but this one was perfect. The pasta was fresh and cooked al dente. The second dish was ravioli in white sauce. It didn’t leave a strong impression, but it was certainly authentic. After the pasta came the meat dish. We had a red wine-stewed beef, but it was a bit too sour for my liking and had too many cloves in the seasoning. The accompanying mashed potatoes tasted a bit old, like they’d been made the day before. Despite the slightly disappointing secondi, I still recommend this restaurant. The friendly owners, a Norwegian-Italian couple with a lovely daughter, were wonderful. There was only one chef preparing all the food for the entire evening, so I didn’t mind the limited menu options.

  • Great food and service. The price was a little high compared to what we got. But overall a good experience

  • Great pasta. Really loved the ragu. For me the classic menu with a starter and two different pastas was plenty. Finished it off with an affogato. Both the espresso and the ice cream were delicious. I see they are rated as quite expensive, but I found the prices are pretty standard for a restaurant in Norway.

  • Very good food. Proper and authentic Italian cuisine. The service was great. One small draw was a the portion of the food. If you are quite hungry I recommend ordering an appetizer as well. We will come back for sure.
